This photo of a basement crawl space is in a National Historic Registry home in Northern Indiana. The gas clothes dryer had been venting directly into the crawlspace for some time. Aside from the obvious lint, the dryer exhaust contains CO (Carbon Monoxide). Aside from the health concerns of the occupants, the home inspector had to disclaim that he was unable to fully inspect the block walls, rim joists, sill plates, floor joists and sub flooring, due to lint covering.
